Annette
Thompson.
Internet pioneer. AI builder.
She built her first internet company in 1995 before most people had heard the word "browser." Now she's building AI systems for the founders who refuse to be left behind.
She didn't wait for the manual.
In 1994, Annette got online for the first time and immediately recognized the web's transformative potential. Within two months, she taught herself to build database-driven websites and launched adoption.com, the first online platform connecting adoptive families with children overseas. Google didn't yet exist.
This pattern defines her career: when a new technology emerges with genuine potential to create impact, Annette dives in, masters it, and builds solutions that matter. Across every venture, she has personally led IT infrastructure, internet marketing, website development, and search engine optimization, delivering results that consistently outperformed industry standards.
She is applying that same hands-on expertise to AI through Verity Agentic.
From Africa to the AI frontier.
After launching adoption.com, Annette didn't settle into a comfortable tech career. She moved to Ethiopia, founded an orphanage, and built an international adoption program from scratch: no playbook, no template, no predecessor to copy. She later did the same in Kenya and Haiti.
Along the way, she adopted seven children of her own, built an ESL teacher recruitment and training business that placed instructors across China, and earned a BS in Medical Technology.
She's a medical technologist who codes. A humanitarian who builds businesses. A serial founder who doesn't stop at one idea. If there's a thread running through it all, it's this: she finds capability that's being underused and puts it to work for people who need it.
Whether in humanitarian work or technology, Annette's throughline is clear: she identifies underused capabilities and deploys them to solve meaningful problems for people.

Let's cut through
the noise.
Most founders are drowning in AI options and short on time. Annette's job is to cut through that and build what actually runs.
